My name is Matthew Marango. I'm currently the Mapping Supervisor for Brandenburg Telephone Co., a local ISP in Brandenburg, KY (we're about 45 minutes southwest of Louisville). I've been in the Mapping department for 14 years, and have been supervisor since February of 2025. We use AutoCAD to draw our pole and cable routes and customer locations, as well as eLation Mapkit, Google Earth, and QGIS. I've also done field work with Trimble GPS units, so I've been involved at every step of the process.

I joined KAMP recently after talking to Eric Muncy, who told me that they would like more involvement from Telecom and Utilites. I love my job, and the field I work in. I love to solve problems and generally improve things, wherever I am. I believe that on the board, I could contribute to making our field even better for everyone involved, and we can help make the state of Kentucky even better.
