Cole Waymeyer is a Geospatial Solutions Analyst with Planning and Development Services of Kenton County, where he brings four years of professional GIS experience and a background in public administration and political science. In his current role, Cole leverages GIS technology to support public sector decision-making and strengthen community engagement. He collaborates regularly with leaders across the public and private sectors, as well as with local citizen GIS users, to develop custom geospatial solutions ranging from interactive applications to traditional cartographic products.
Cole has been a member of KAMP for four years and has served as Membership Chair since March 2024. Cole is seeking a position on the KAMP Executive Board to build on the incredible work of those who came before him — working to recruit, retain, and reengage KAMP membership, contributing to organizational goals and initiatives, and fostering the next generation of geospatial professionals. If elected, he intends to continue partnering closely with the membership committee, acting as a liaison to the board to strengthen membership priorities, recruit new members from across the region, and connect resources and people in ways that secure a strong future for KAMP.
