call for presentations | ky-gis conference 2026

Deadline for submissions: April 30th, 2026

Interested in presenting at this year’s conference?

We’re now accepting proposals for presentations, demonstrations, panels, roundtable sessions, and more for the 2026 Kentucky GIS ConferenceWe are pleased to have two days of sessions: Wednesday, September 30th and Thursday, October 1st, 2026. This is a great opportunity for our GIS, mapping, and geospatial community to showcase it's work, educate others, and share professional experiences.

Whether you’re a GIS professional, a student, or a consultant, we want to hear from you! Presentations from vendors and consultants are welcome—especially when presented in collaboration with partners or clients. Please note that commercial content should be minimal and broadly relevant to the audience.

There will be two session times available, 30 minutes and 1 hour. It is your discretion to allocate time for content and allow for Q&A.

To submit, you’ll need a brief abstract and a short bio. Submissions will be evaluated based on technical content, originality, interest, and overall quality. Please note, if you do not already have one, you will need to create a Sched account to submit your abstract.

For questions about presenting, please contact Andrew McKinney at Andrew.McKinney@louisvilleky.gov

Due to a record number of submissions last year, we encourage you to submit early. Abstracts will be reviewed on a rolling basis as they are received.

Sched is your go-to resource for all things conference-related—from presentation categories to helpful tips and links to guide your submission. Whether you're a seasoned speaker or submitting for the first time, this is the place to get started.

Ready to share your work, insights, or innovations?
