This is Your Moment

We are asked to do more all the time. Sometimes, we may be asked to start something new, take on additional responsibilities or aid in an emergency. What does it feel like to “do more?”

What is our role with the rise of data science, analytics and emergent technology? Can we build a system that runs on the talent we already have in the room? Do we have the capacity?

Let’s go on a journey to see what is and what could be. You know the best way to get to the finish. Let’s find purpose and the autonomy as professionals to do great work with the talent we have.

Story Spine:

Once upon a time…we discovered our love of maps, GIS and the geospatial community

Every day…we happily worked on our GIS projects

But, one day…GIS lost its luster

Because of that…we were associated with maps only

Because of that… we witnessed the rise of data science and analytics...we watched others being hired to do the work we could do

Because of that…opportunities and pay did not match the effort we were putting in

Until finally…we started advocating for ourselves...we decided we were much more than maps...we were data scientist + Geo...we made this our moment

And ever since then…we excel at the work we are doing...we are better at who we are...we are changing the world
