My name is Charles Altendorf, and I have been a KAMP member for almost eight years. I’m wrapping up my term as past-president, and many have encouraged me to seek a second term as director. I’m the Senior GIS Specialist for Kentucky at American Water, with 13 years of GIS experience, and I hold both my undergraduate and Master’s degrees from the University of Kentucky Geography Department.

During my time with KAMP, I’ve led the Communications Committee, chaired conference sponsorships, moderated and led sessions at most Kentucky GIS Conferences, and received the Exemplary Systems Award in 2019. In another term on the board, I aim to keep the work of the board moving forward by providing continuity, guidance, and leveraging my experience.
