GIS Paid Internship Opportunity

The City of Florence Public Services is seeking a GIS intern to start in May! Candidate can expect to further their GIS skills and knowledge and acquire valuable work experience. Come and contribute to the FLOGIS team in an easy going and collaborative environment! Also, Fridays are FUNdays… wear blue jeans and (most Fridays) lunch as a team!!
Responsibilities include:
- Data entry (As-Builts)
- Data QC (quality over quantity)
- Field inspections (utilities, field assets)
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications:
- Fundamental knowledge of GIS
- Classroom or work experience with Esri products (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro)
- Experience with Web GIS and Mobile Applications a plus
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Good time-management
- Ability to work independently
- Valid driver’s license
The position will pay $15 per hour and the candidate is expected to work 40 hours per week, M-F 8am-5pm.
