The Boone County Planning Commission (BCPC) has an opening for a GIS Data Analyst.  Boone County is the northernmost point in Kentucky and can be found where Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky come together.  Boone County hosts Cincinnati’s International Airport and is perennially ranked in the top three Kentucky counties based on population growth.  Our county’s mix of suburban and rural area is unrivaled in the Commonwealth.

The GIS Data Analyst position works in the BCPC’s GIS Services Division – the core group of GIS professionals that manages Boone County’s Enterprise GIS (BCGIS).  BCGIS celebrates its 30-year anniversary in 2023.  In that time, our GIS has become a mission-critical IT tool used by all of the local government agencies who are charged with ensuring the health, safety and general welfare of the residents and businesses of Boone County and the Cities of Florence, Union and Walton.
