This workshop is designed for those who have used digital maps but never worked on the creation components of a digital map. The workshop will utilize commercial software but most of the techniques can also be done in open source software. The conceptualization and hands on skills will be demonstrated and completed by workshop participants; a website will be available so that participant can continue the learning process after the workshop.
