The course begins by exploring how easily QGIS imports multiple data formats and can create new features within the editing environment. We will introduce how to use spatial databases and SQL to analyze and process our data. We then examine the various methods of classifying and symbolizing our spatial layers, including the unique aspects of map design that QGIS offers, such as custom layer blending modes, and advanced labeling techniques. We conclude the course exploring the options available in QGIS for publishing maps as geospatial PDFs and creating data for web mapping applications. We encourage attendees to bring their custom data, as we will reserve some time to explore how QGIS could help users.
Lunch will not be provided.
